If you want a Landrover Defender this is the only place to go! Excellent choice of vehicles in a good range of prices. Vehicles are prepared to the highest possible standards and are a credit to all the Hallam team. Joe is one of the last remaining ‘good guys’ the car sales world. He’s honest and straightforward, a pleasure to deal with, reliable and extremely helpful. What he doesn’t know about Defenders isn’t worth knowing! I can’t recommend them highly enough!!!!!

Absolutely perfect!! Amazingly helpful people. I flew all the way from Cyprus to view a vehicle. They had the courtesy to pick me up from the train station(with the vehicle I was to expecting to view) and then drive me back during my visit. I spent 12 months looking at 2nd hand Defender 90’s and looked extensively in Cheshire and Lancashire. Finally, I drove to Hallam’s who have a very good selection of new and used Defenders. Joe Hallam gave me some very important information about the safety regulations when planning to add rear seats to a Defender: none of the other garages had told me this. Joe is very helpful and trustworthy which is why I bought my Defender from him: I am delighted with it. I would recommend Hallam’s to anyone.

If you fancy buying a really good Defender from a very tall, long (ish) haired man that only ever wears navy, this the place for you! Personally I only buy from navy wearing people as I feel I can trust them (perhaps this says more about me than them?) In the last two years I’ve dealt with theses guys a number of times (willingly). First I traded in a last generation Range Rover for a 90 XS, traded that in for a Defender Bowler 90 stage 1, had that upgraded to stage 2 for more power and also upgraded suspension, brakes and exhaust, tricked out the interior with leather and alcantara and a ‘boss’ (not Bose) sound system. Also had, new generation Range Rover body work fixed after ‘someone’ couldn’t judge a gap properly when trying to park up to have her nails done (not judging). If you like Defenders and you must do to be reading this, you could do a lot worse that dealing with these boys!
